Let's Get Crafty

Living next to the DI is a bad thing, although it's probably also a good thing. I love to find good bargains, and make them SHINE! These are a few of my latest crafts.
I was really excited about these candle holders I found at the DI. They were $5 for the 3 of them. I wish I would have taken a before picture because these candle holders were U-G-L-Y. I got a trusty can of spray paint(my best friend) and went to town. I also found these candles for 50% off at Hobby Lobby and wallah!
So the carroty looking things are really corn. I plan on getting out the glitter and making them sparkle!

And this is Masons room! We made the moon, Masons name, and found a few more furniture items at the DI such as the changing table and the lamp. Once again got out the spray paint.

(Gay) Mormon Guy: A Voice of Faith

I wanted to share this blog that I have found by reading through a discussion on Facebook. There has been so much debate on this topic and I have had mixed emotions on this topic. I have many friends who are gay and were very close friends at that. All this hate and bashing from each side that I have heard breaks my heart.
I really enjoyed the talk by President Packer and I know what he said was truly inspiration, but to be honest it made me feel unsettled also. After finding this blog I know longer feel like that.
The man in this blog is truly amazing. Whether your dealing with being Gay, or just any other trial in your life he is an amazing example of enduring and having faith that God will be with you. But he does offer a great insight of what it is like for a Gay man in the LDS faith.

(Gay) Mormon Guy: A Voice of Faith: "Thousands of people protested outside the Church Office Building Thursday evening. I wasn't there. But I understand the pain they feel and t..."

Here is one of his posts that I was really impressed with. Please read other posts of his, they are really uplifting.
