Success!!!

For the last little while, I have made it my quest to learn how to bake delicious breads. Though I have had several attempts that turned out ok, I was never satisfied with the texture, and look of the final products. Today, I decided to take on a roll recipe from the Lionhouse recipe book. After several hours of work, the final product turned out perfect! Lance and I were so delighted. I smiled, and Lance said yummy, yummy.

So Much to Do So Little Time

Well hello Blog World!Yeah I know it's been a while. There has been so much going on that I couldn't sit down and blog anything, my brain was just to blasted full! So here's an update!Sorry about not having any pictures so this one might be kind of boring!

Adoption: Well this process is moving along. We finished all the paperwork, now we just have to wait to be approved. As soon as that happens then we can be up for grabs to all those wonderful birth moms! That will be a happy day just having paperwork done and finished with. Then the roller coaster ride will start over again with the process of waiting for someone to pick us. So pray for us please!!! We need it!

Medical School: After a mid-life crisis on deciding what to do about school Lance got his application for Pennsylvania State in!! Dealing with these applications and Adoption applications has just about pushed us over the edge! But we can breathe now! This was his secondary application for Penn, so if this goes well then he will get an interview. Then if that goes well and we get excepted we will be moving out to Hershey, PA! At first I wasn't how sure I was about going there but now the more I think about it, I kinda like the idea. A new adventure and plus its not forever! We will be able to have new adventures and for Lance it will be completely new since he has never been to the east except for Florida. I also Like the idea of being in Hershey!

Beauty School: I'm Graduated!!!! Oh it feels so good to be done! I finished in November before Thanksgiving and it has been wonderful just enjoying my time and making my own schedule. I will be working at JcPenney Salon. It's the perfect situation for me, flexible, no booth rent, hourly and commission pay, and don't have to pay for any products or supplies! So if you need anything done let me know!

So there you have it! I don't think I forgot anything well except all the family stuff that has gone on too but that's another entry!

Happy Halloween

This year Lance went to the extreme for his costume! I was a bit OK a lot reluctant to help him this year but my darling Lance needed my skills. Some thought we were dressing him up as Darin for Halloween. Lance went to his house to pick up the snowmobiles for a lovely drive and while walking down to the house Dave (aka Lances Father) was quite stunned and thought FOR SURE, Darin had come home for some odd reason. I now give you the Before and Afters of this extreme Halloween costume!

If your having a hard time guessing what he is, he is a Mad Scientist.

Early season Snowmobile Ride

This summer, my inlaw's inlaws gave my a pair of smowmobiles that had been collecting dust at their house. This last week, with the help of a local mechanic and friend, I got one of them running (the other is a lost cause I'm afraid) and decided to take it for a test drive today up at Tony Grove. There wasn't a ton of snow, but there was enough to have a little fun. This was the result. I am pretty impressed by how well the little 30 year old sled did. It would be worthless in the backcountry, but it should be fun for a nice trail ride and tube pull!

Salsa

I have been craving homemade salsa for a long time! We had a bunch of tomato's from the garden that I wanted to use for my salsa. I hunted for a good recipe, I couldn't really find any that really struck me so I kinda combined a little of everything. I threw everything in the food processor and BOOM I had fresh salsa! It tasted amazing! I made 6 cups and in a 1/2 hour it was down to this. I would have eaten the rest but I was going to explode with all the salsa I ate. Oh yeah Lance helped a little too!
