Channelling my inner Mike Tyson

So Adam did me the kind favor of lending me his luscious locks to perfect my haircutting skills. Well besides getting a nifty haircut he got a nifty.........................

Battle wound!

Now let me give a little explanation...... My scissors are SHARP! Adam got more then he came in for: a nifty haircut, battle wound, and a free haircut!
P.S. I bawled for about 10 minutes when I realized what I did. I finally pulled myself together and finished the haircut. Cutting someones ear has been my biggest fear and it still is. I was consoled by many of my fellow peers who let me know you wont find one hairdresser out there that hasn't cut an ear. That made me feel a little better. At first I was mortified and thought we can't tell anyone about this because no one would trust me to cut their hair but I'm over it now and laugh at the whole thing, except when I picture that moment of slicing through his cartilage.....YUCK... Thanks Adam for being a good sport!

Sorry for the long blank space I couldn't make it go away!

Update to everyone: the ear is fine and it will heal with no significant damage to the structure of the ear. However, I'm afraid there will be a big bump a the location of th wound due to abnormal healing, that will make my ear funny looking. Hey, chicks dig scars I guess!

Adam, I'm sorry about your ear, but you're right. Chicks totally dig scars, but you gotta make up a cooler story than "getting a haircut". Dani, I'm sure I would have cute many more ears by now. The hair cut ended up looking great by the way.

I started cutting Peter's hair when we were poor starving college students (who am I kidding- we're still in that state). Anyway, the first time I did it I took a huge chunk out of the back of his head below his hat line, and I was embarrassed whenever we went out in public.

Anyway, the haircut looks great. I may have a couple more customers for you when we come into town.

Live and Learn right. The big test will be whether Adam lets you cut his hair again in the future! :-)

Adam, I think your ear looks much better that way, honestly.
