First year medical students had the day off in order to study for the big anatomy exam tomorrow. Lance felt pretty confident that he was going to do well so we took Mason to the Franklin park zoo. Lance's sister Cami and neice Ivy came along for the trip too. Fun was had by all. We especially like the gorilla exhibit. Although Mason seemed to be partial to the Lemurs.
Ivy wouldn't go to sleep last night. I think she was a little disturbed by the silverback that threw himself at our viewing window. But it was a fun trip!
I LOVE gorillas. Did someone look the gorilla in the eye? It must have felt the need to establish dominance. Must have been someone very intimidating- My money is on either Mason or Ivy.

What a fun age to enjoy the zoo! When Lance went to Hogle Zoo at about that age, a big seal barked at him and scared him to death!
